Erick Buendia is a Bolivian-American filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist based in Washington, D.C.

He graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Film and American Studies, earning High Honors. His thesis film “Te Veo Pronto” was awarded the Grant/Wilcox Prize for “outstanding film that addresses significant social issues.” His work explores identity, cultural memory, marginalized communities, and cycles.

Outside of filmmaking and photography, Erick is a dedicated painter. His artworks have been exhibited at various galleries throughout the Washington D.C. area including Touchstone, Falls Church Arts, Montpelier Arts, Rhizome, and more.
